Game Assignments & Role

We manage game assignments for sub-varsity games, preseason matchups, scrimmages, and jamborees. Our district ensures consistent and fair officiating, upholding the standards for every game played.

Our Historical Roots

The South Carolina Football Officials Association was founded in 1944. Its original aim was to train and develop football officials and manage a booking office for varsity football games, starting with a small group of dedicated individuals.

From its modest beginnings of 12 officials serving 4 high schools, the association has grown significantly. It now encompasses 700 officials serving 206 schools, demonstrating a wide reach and continued commitment to football.

Our Guiding Mission

SCFOA D3 strives to provide uniform interpretation and consistent enforcement of National Federation High School football rules. We are committed to fostering fair play and safety on the field for all participants.

Our Vision for Officiating

We envision a future where amateur football officials continuously advance their skills. By providing educational resources and comprehensive training, we aim to ensure the highest standards of officiating across the state.
